Aegis is a YC-backed company building AI for hospital revenue cycle teams, starting with denial management and reimbursement. We work closely with hospitals on these workflows, and we want people who have run hospital finance helping decide what we build and how it should work.

Role Description

We're looking for current and retired hospital CFOs to advise Aegis part-time. If you're still in the role, you'd keep your current job; if you're retired, this is a flexible way to stay close to the work. You'd work directly with our founders, showing us how hospital finance leaders think about revenue cycle performance, how they evaluate and buy new technology, and where our products would fall short in practice. The role is fully remote, and you don't need a technical or AI background.

What you'll do

• Walk us through how hospital finance really operates: how budgets get set, who signs off on new vendors, and what a CFO needs to see before saying yes
\n
• Review new products and our ROI case, both early on and once they're working
\n
• Flag the financial, operational, and contracting constraints we'd miss from the outside
\n
• Tell us where AI would actually move the numbers and where it would just get in the way
\n
• Help shape products that hospital finance and RCM teams will end up using
\n

Who we're looking for

You currently serve, or have served, as CFO of a hospital or health system. That's the only requirement.
