Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Allied Health Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center License: Client CT Tech License Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Two years of Level 1 Trauma Center experience - Current Client licensure - BLS certification - Experience with Siemens equipment - Effective written and verbal communication skills Description: Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan. Strictly adhere to department policy and procedure for patient safety. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; safe patient handling must be utilized. Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components. Ensure identifying images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
